Thanks to all those that attended and sponsored the First Annual Bloggers Soiree Monday, September 27 at Libation NY in the Lower East Side. The rain prevented many registered attendees from coming but we still had a fantastic event.

Attendees helped raise over $500 for Restore NYC, got to meet the blogging community, demo the eyelash extension procedure provided by JJ Eyelashes , skincare demos provided by Nu Skin, entered a chance to win lovely pearl earrings provided by Raymond Hakimi of Jewels of Ocean, and experienced a live musical performance by local singer-songwriter Alexis Foxe.

This event could not be possible without the help of our sponsors: Novo Ink, JJ Eyelashes, Nu Skin, LYVA Music, Red Rover PR, Keep It Real Game, author of “Shaken and Stirred” Crystal Black Davis, FourBlend, New York American Marketing Association, India Social, the Bloggers School, blogcatalog, SocialGo, Girls in Tech and official ticket partner EventBrite. Too many links to list but follow my Twitter list of all sponsors and visit their twitter pages and websites for more information.

Wonderful presentations from Carolina Frederica of the Bloggers School and Josh Bernoff and Ted Schadler , co-authors of “Empowered” and Forrester Research executives. As well, the Red Rover Unit was in full effect blogging, tweeting, videotaping and taking pictures. Overall the event was beyond amazing and a great first start., and will be hosting more events in the future and I hope many will join us. We have created a community via and will send the invite in coming days to join us.

Red Rover Unit pictures can be viewed below.

Video will be uploaded soon.

Special thanks to our event photographer Kristle Haynes of That Bronx Guhrl. More pictures below.

Together attendees and sponsors made a difference and a step in ending human trafficking and providing survivors with a safe house. The Soiree proved that bloggers can use social media for social good. And we will continue to do so…

  1. I must say that you do look quite pleased in that photo.

It’s so funny that I’m finding out that That Bronx Guhrl was there in the aftermath. I’ve never met her but she responded to one of our FB invitations. I’m so glad she came out.

I was also super excited to meet Alexis of, Alicia Keys’ new site that I’ve wanted to work for. It was amazing that she came, and she was soo nice.

The event certainly was a success. You did an amazing job Desiree. I can’t wait for future events.

  2. The other day, while I was at work, my sister stole my
iphone and tested to see if it can survive a twenty five foot drop, just so she can
be a youtube sensation. My iPad is now broken and she has 83 views.

I know this is entirely off topic but I had to share it with someone!

  3. I do believe all the ideas you have presented in your post.
They are very convincing and can certainly work. Still, the posts are
too quick for newbies. May you please lengthen them a bit from
subsequent time? Thanks for the post.

  4. You actually make it appear so easy with your presentation but I in finding this topic to be really one thing which I believe I would never understand.
It sort of feels too complex and extremely extensive for me.
I am looking ahead for your next publish, I will attempt to get the grasp
    of it!
